HHIC-Phils. Inc., and Fiesta Communities, Inc. MOA Signing

Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction Co. Ltd. Philippines (HHIC-Phil) and FIESTA Communities Inc. (FCI), an affiliate of Hausland Development Corporation (HLDC) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the development of HHIC-Phil’s housing project designed to be home for some 3,000 workers of one of the biggest shipbuilders in the world.

The execution of the MOA held at The Lighthouse Marina Resort, Subic Bay on September 12, 2012 marks the official partnership of HHIC-Phil and FIESTA Communities, Inc. FCI President Wilfredo Tan and HHIC – Phil. Inc. representative External Affairs Manager Allan Edgar Lobo forged the agreement. 

Witnessing the signing were Castillejos Mayor Jose Dominquez and FCI Legal Counsel Atty. Christopher Ryan Tan.

Dubbed as Hanjin Village, the new community would rise at Hanjin’s 30-hectare property located at Barangay Nagbunga, Nagbayto, Castillejos, Zambales. 

About 19 kms. away from HHIC-Phil shipyard, the residential subdivision would be available initially to some 1,000 employees of HHIC with the first 300 units expected for awarding by yearend 2012.

Following the giant shipbuilder’s philosophy of bettering global communities, it extends support to all its employees that would allow them to realize their full potential and thereby contribute in improving society at large. 

In further concretizing the firm’s corporate social responsibility, it acquired in 2009 a 30-hectare tract of land to accommodate the housing requirement of their workforce.

For an easy access to the benefit, HHIC-Phil not only gives free the raw land to eligible workers, but it also worked out with FCI closely so that the housing packages would have no down payment, no equity, no initial cash out where the housing loan could be availed thru Pag-IBIG Fund. 

Qualified homebuyers can avail of Pag-IBIG’s Affordable Housing Loan Program where the lowest interest rate of 4.5% for housing loan of up to P400,000 is granted. 

Hanjin Village offers three housing packages that come in one, two and three bedroom units priced at P399,000, P499,000 and P599,000 respectively. 

The housing subdivision is provided with public facilities and amenities, including an elementary school which will be donated by HHIC-Phil, a multi-purpose hall, basketball court and playground, a two-way entrance gate with 24-hour security and a bus terminal.

The MOA signing was also witnessed by HLDC-FCI Executive Vice President Patrick John Tan, HLDC– Vice President for Operations Arch.
